06 Sep 2012: Soldier Boys & Jesus Freaks

Notes

A day later than planned due to yesterday’s car battery issues – the plan for today was simple; do two parts of Britt’s “Triathlon Challenge” in the build up to doing the full 30km (10 jog/walk, 10 cycle, 10 row).

With 10km cycled in just under 30 minutes, and the 10km row coming in just under 45 minutes, the combined time for the 20km was inside 1:15:00. This bodes well, as I have aimed to complete the full challenge inside 3 hours.

I reckon the 10km jog/walk is going to take just over 90 minutes – even allowing for the cycle and row times to be increased (due to the “being knackered after a 10km jog” factor) the 3 hour goal should be achievable.

I might just test out a different combination of two parts tomorrow – maybe a jog/walk and a cycle? I’ll wait and see how much time I have in the morning, and how my legs feel after today 🙂
