so, a quick recap of the weekend…

saturday – rest day
sunday – 16.03km in 2:19:11
monday – rest day

I made today a rest day for two main reasons – firstly I slept until 4:30am, secondly I had decided to shift things around a little as I need to do my long runs on Saturdays for the next few weeks.

in general terms I’m also switching to the full training program so the focus shifts to running with some rowing thrown in for cross-training.

the reason for doing this is that I want a solid body of distance and experience built up for when I do the full marathon in june.

I feel now is the right time to switch as my body has got used to running and I’ve hit the halfway point of the training program. With just 10 weeks to go before the big day, I really feel that I need those kms under my belt.

As mentioned above, the crosstraining (CT) days will take the form of rowing down at the gym.
