Wednesday = cross training day = spot of rowing and a chance to weigh myself at the gym…
Jackie’s exact instructions were “Cross Train of choice – easy row or bike for 45 to 60 minutes”
I woke up early – just after 2am I think… a big day in the office is on the cards and was causing a million things to be racing through my mind, so it was never going to be a day for laying in!
Weight-wise I was happy – no change from last week. Given that I had gained 5kg in 5 weeks, dropped 3 of those last week – I was expecting very little this time around.
On the rowing machine I put in a nice easy paced 10km row – which I knew would come in between 45 and 60 minutes as prescribed. I took it very easy over the first 5km, clocking up about 28 minutes.
The second half of the row I put in slightly more effort, and over the last 1.5km I increased intensity a fair bit, getting the pace down to 2:00 per 500m. It just felt like the right thing to do 🙂
Total time for the 10km was 53:41 (negative split achieved – no real surprise there!)
After that it was a case of a spot of stretching and getting on with the rest of the day!
